(More customer reviews)I am very pleased with this popcorn popper. I would rate it 9.5 out of ten. What impresses me the most is that it works on an induction stove!!! It pops perfect popcorn and I use it almost every day. The only negative is that the crank handle turns harder than it should, the rod alignment throuth the handle is not perfect; but it is getting easier the more I use it.
I highly recommend it as it does an amazing job and I really prefer stainless steel over aluminum.

Vita-Mix 1319 Professional Series, Onyx Review

There are several things that set it apart besides the power and design, which allows perfectly smooth smoothies, sauces and soups if you want them that way. I reviewed a previous model that is no longer available and notice there's a new model out that doesn't have the middle knob. While you'd still get the easy cleanup, power and reliability of the Vita-Mix, that knob (which is on this model) is something I really value because it allows you to change the speed by infinite degrees during processing.
I find this particularly important when processing hot liquids as you can get a wet 'explosion' if you try to start a blending process too fast, which causes the heat to suddenly expand the contents. I did this once with my small personal blender--bad idea. With this Vita-mix model, you can start at a very low speed and turn the speed up gradually to high. Starting at a slow speed also gets larger items broken up so a good flow can be established to the blending process sooner. I've found the speed control greatly enhances the ability to get the results I want, including dicing small quantities instead of pureeing them, if needed.
I've had my unit for years and have never had any problems. It's a great machine. It gets most any job done just the way you want it. It's no wonder professional chefs choose Vita-Mix over others. Highly recommended.

The lemons taste fresher and look better for 2-3 days after cutting. They haven't stayed around any longer than that yet. I see the bright yellow lemon when I open the fridge and it reminds me to use them up! I love having a lemon wedge with my sparkling water or my gin & tonic. This product makes it easier to keep fresh lemons on hand, and it looks so cute and happy in the fridge door, too. I would definitely recommend it.

(More customer reviews)I have had a plastice one with the built in strainer for years...and must admit I hated it, but didn't know why...IT was to smooth and slippery to really grab the flesh. Especially for the produce we get in Alaska, you really have to work for your juice, be from limes, lemons or any other citrus. Things are just not quite as fresh as they are in the states. This reamer rips right through these tough limes and lemons with hardly any effort. WHAT A RELIEF this tool is! I even did my own product test between the old and new with the same batch of limes...I was able to get nearly twice as much juice in less than half the time. If you like to use fresh citrus in your cooking and bartending, but don't want the commitment of a "juicer"...this is a wonderful, easy to store tool.

I primarily use a food mill for tomato sauces. This device will not work with tomatoes or seeds noticeably bigger(grapes). Unless you are pureeing watermelon you probably will be disappointed in this product.

I bought them to scrape food out of my VitaMix blender after seeing the VitaMix demonstrators at Costco using the large scraper. With its flat bottom and square corner, the large one works very well. It's the small one, however, that I find myself using most often, both for the VitaMix and for lots of other jobs that involve transferring food from one container to another.

However, it's just too much trouble to assemble the screw and caps and cut up vegetables and feed them in the hopper and plunge them in, slowly. With my old high speed blender that I use for carrot juices, it's simply a matter of pushing whole carrots into the top slot. Then open and clean out. Takes a minute. In sum, I would say this Samson machine may be useful for something, to someone. But please, if only I could have tried it out first.
